The Beats Studio Pro scored four-stars from this site when we reviewed them, and we felt they were a very solid return to the over-ear market for Beats.
The sound quality is towards the neutral side, with a focus on clarity, detail and sharpness. Bass is both punchy and powerful when required, while the midrange and treble frequencies are described with fine levels of clarity and detail. It’s not the most splashy of sounds, but we very much liked the emphasis on clarity and detail that the Studio Pro afforded.
The noise-cancellaiton is very strong, removing a great deal of background noise and thinning out people’s voices. We feel they’re an excellent pair of ANC headphones for the commute, with train and bus rides passing by mostly in silence. The transparency mode is very clear, letting in outside sounds without any noise.
Call quality is also solid, capturing the caller’s voice with clarity while getting rid of background noise from having a negative effect.
Battery life is 40 hours per charge but through our tests we reckon you can get more than that. There’s also support for lossless audio via a wired (3.5mm or USB-C) connection if you want to get the best audio quality from your music services.
As an all-round pair of over-ear headphones, we found the Beats Studio Pro to be a very solid pair. The is an excellent price for the headphones, and it’s rarely been available for less than this price since they first went on sale at Amazon. If you’ve been eyeing this pair, now’s a great time to jump in.
