Google’s latest quarterly bundle for Pixels arrives with a clear focus on smarter alerts, safer messaging, and a few fun extras.
The November 2025 Pixel Drop upgrades how notifications work, adds new scam protections, and brings a themed makeover option for newer phones.
The features match last month’s leaks, with some pleasant surprises mixed in, like Notification Summaries and a new organiser for alerts. There is also a limited-time Pixel Themes pack inspired by the movie Wicked For Good that adds wallpapers, icons, system sounds, and GIFs on Pixel 6 and newer.
Google is leaning into safety with this update, with Pixel 6 and newer devices in the US now getting Scam Detection in messages that can warn about sketchy content from popular messaging apps.
Additionally, VIP contacts receive priority notifications, and crisis badges are displayed in the Contacts widget, making it easier to identify important individuals.
Phone call Scam Detection is also expanding to Pixel 9 and newer models (except the A series) in more regions, including the UK, Ireland, India, Australia, and Canada, with support for English, French, and Hindi this time.

Pixel 10 owners can activate a Power Saving Mode in Google Maps, which switches to a simplified navigation view and can extend battery life by up to four hours.
On Pixel 9 and newer phones (excluding the 9a), notifications get an upgrade with Notification Summaries to condense long threads and a Notification Organiser that automatically groups and quiets lower-priority pings.
Call Notes, which uses Gemini Nano on the device to record, transcribe, summarise, and suggest next steps, is also expanding to those same markets, plus Japan, for Pixel 9 and newer models except the 9a.
We’re also seeing quality-of-life tweaks across the lineup. The Device Health and Support hub from Pixel 10 is coming to Pixel 6 through 9, while Pixel Journal is now available on the Pixel 8 and 9 for secure journaling.
Aside from that, Magnifier is coming to Pixel Fold models, and Google Sounds adds the Sound Matters Wild Hokkaido set of alarms, ringtones, and notification tones.
And yes, Google Messages and Google Photos are introducing new features that will be available on Android devices more broadly.
