DJI has unveiled the Neo 2, a tiny follow-me camera drone that puts safety and simplicity first.
It weighs 151 grams, making it DJI’s lightest model with omnidirectional obstacle sensing, so beginners get extra confidence right out of the box. Gesture control, SelfieShot, and improved ActiveTrack also make it easy to capture low-altitude follow shots while you’re running or riding.
There’s a small display beside the camera that shows your shooting mode at a glance. You can launch the drone from your palm by pointing it at yourself and tapping Take Off, and then use Return to Palm to guide it back to your hand and land gently. With gestures, one palm controls left/right and altitude, while two palms pull the drone closer or push it away.
Voice control also works through your phone or Bluetooth headphones, and for a wider range, you can pair the RC N3 remote for up to 10km of video transmission. The Neo 2 also supports motion controllers with goggles for a simple FPV experience.
Camera-wise, you’re getting a 12-megapixel 1/2-inch CMOS sensor with an f2.2 lens on a new two-axis gimbal. It shoots up to 4K at 100fps for slow-motion or 2.7K vertical video, and ActiveTrack plus SelfieShot ensure your subject stays in frame.
Tracking is quicker and steadier than before, with eight-direction coverage that includes the diagonals and a rear tracking mode for busy scenes. And in open areas, it can follow at up to 12 meters per second.

Safety tech is layered, with an omnidirectional monocular vision system working together with forward LiDAR and a downward infrared sensor to detect obstacles in real-time. The integrated propeller guard adds all-around protection, while improved hovering and positioning help indoors, near buildings, and over water or snow.
You get level 5 wind resistance, up to 19 minutes of flight, and 49GB of internal storage. Footage transfers to the DJI Fly app over Wi-Fi at speeds of up to 80MB/s, allowing you to share without cables.
For pricing, Neo 2 starts at £209 in the UK and from €239 in Europe. The Fly More Combo is £289 or from €329, the full Fly More Combo is £349 or from €399, and the Motion Fly More Combo is £509 or from €579. It is available to order from store.dji.com and authorised retail partners in the UK and Europe.
