Samsung has unveiled its latest accessory for multitaskers and Galaxy power users, and it’s surprisingly minimal.
The Samsung Smart Keyboard weighs just 218g and measures only 4.3mm thick, making it one of the lightest full-size keyboards you can buy right now.
Despite the ultra-slim build, Samsung says it still delivers a natural, laptop-like typing feel thanks to a 19mm key pitch.
The Smart Keyboard is designed to slot into the wider Galaxy ecosystem rather than compete with traditional mechanical or productivity keyboards.
It can pair with up to three devices at once, letting you hop between your Galaxy Book, phone or tablet with a quick button press. Samsung clearly wants this to be the go-to accessory for people who work across multiple screens but don’t want to juggle multiple keyboards.
There’s also a dedicated AI Short Key, which acts as a one-tap gateway to whichever assistant your device supports. On a Galaxy Book, it launches Copilot. On a Galaxy phone or tablet, you can call up Google Gemini or Bixby. It’s a small change, but one that makes the keyboard feel built for the AI-heavy workflows Samsung is leaning into.
Power isn’t an issue either. Instead of a rechargeable battery, the Smart Keyboard runs on coin cell batteries – Samsung claims they deliver long-lasting life, so you won’t be hunting for a charger mid-workflow. The company also includes custom keys for Samsung’s own apps, letting you assign shortcuts for tools like Notes or Calendar.
At $109.99, or via Samsung’s various financing plans, the Smart Keyboard sits firmly in premium accessory territory. But with its aluminium finish, multi-device pairing and one of the lightest builds we’ve seen on a productivity keyboard, it’s clearly aimed at Galaxy users who want something portable without giving up convenience.
