I’ve made my case for the cheaper Sonos Ray plenty of times (and that still stands if your budget is limited) but if you do have a bit more money to spend then the headline is this: you will not find a better soundbar for the same price as the Beam Gen 2 right now.
As you’d expect from one of Sonos’ main devices, the soundbar packs the company’s signature sound profile which injects a palpable sense of energy into anything you decide to watch or play. It’s the type of jump in quality that’ll have you wondering how you ever made do with anything less (especially if you’ve been using your TV’s built-in speakers).
In our 4.5-star review for the Beam Gen 2, Home Technology Editor David Ludlow detailed: “The very short version is that the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) sounds exceptionally good, especially considering its relatively small size.
