Bowers and Wilkins five-star earbuds are down to their lowest ever price

The Pi8 earned themselves a five-star rating for a number of reasons. Numero uno among them is the sound, as the Pi8 are one of, if not the best-sounding wireless earbuds on the market.
It’s a rich, but detailed and spacious sound; reproducing music with plenty of energy and dynamism. Bass is taut, punchy and weighty; highs are bright and clear and the midrange sounds natural, especially with vocals. It’s an absolute dynamite listen on the sound front.
Number two on the list is that they’re more comfortable than before. Changes to the design ensure they fit better than the Pi7 model, and they’re comfortable to wear for long sessions when you’re listening to your audio. The touch controls are responsive, the water resistance rating is strong, and they’re stylish to boot. All the design issues from before have been fixed with this latest pair.

Number three is the range of features. They support aptX Lossless Bluetooth for the highest quality sound possible across a Bluetooth connection; and there’s the charging case, which can retransmit audio from an analogue source and beam it wirelessly to your ears. Perfect if you want to use these headphones on a plane journey with the in-flight entertainment system (or if you have a portable gaming system like the Switch 2).
Battery life is better at 6.5 hours, and in our tests we found that figure to be more or less true. It’s not the longest battery life, but with 20 hours in total, it’ll get you through most of the day.
The noise-cancellation isn’t the strongest compared to the likes of Bose, Technics or Sony; but it does clear out a lot of noise on public transport and walking about cities. It is reliant on the fit and volume to suppress sounds, but the ANC performance is the best so far from Bowers & Wilkins’ earbuds.
Are all those reasons enough for you to take a plunge on the Bowers & Wilkins Pi8? We reckon they are, with top-notch performance across the board and few weaknesses. It’s a high calibre true wireless pair, and for the Prime Deals Day event, they’re the most affordable we’ve seem them at.
