Nothing has announced the Phone 3a Lite, a lower-cost model that keeps the brand’s see-through style and clean software while trimming certain aspects.
The 3a Lite will sit below the Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro – offering many of the same features for a lower cost.
Design stays front and centre with a glass back in Black or White, IP54 splash and dust protection, and an internal aluminium battery frame that adds extra toughness.
There is a new take on the rear lighting called Glyph Light. It brings quiet alerts with Flip to Glyph, Essential Notifications for key contacts, a camera countdown for group shots, and custom light sequences for callers and apps.
What about the cameras?
The camera setup leans on TrueLens Engine 4.0, the same imaging pipeline used on the flagship line.
The main sensor is a 50MP Samsung unit that pulls in more light than the usual budget fare. Photo tools include Ultra XDR, Portrait, Night, Macro and Motion Capture. Video runs at 4K 30 on the rear with 1080p slow motion at 120 frames per second. A 16MP selfie camera handles calls and social clips.

Nothing OS 3.5 on Android 15 keeps the interface playful. Smart Drawer tidies your app grid, Private Space and App Locker add simple security, and there is a clear update promise with three years of Android versions and six years of security patches. OS 4.0 is already pencilled in for early 2026. New Essential tools help capture and find notes, images and ideas, and on-device search can pull up saved content even when you are offline.
The OLED screen is big at 6.77-inch and it packs a FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh, 10 bit colour, and very high stated brightness. PWM dimming at 2160Hz aims to keep flicker down for sensitive eyes.
Inside, there’s MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Pro on a 4nm process with liquid cooling. You get 8GB RAM with up to another 8GB of virtual RAM. Storage options are 128GB or 256GB and you can add more with microSD up to 2TB. Dual 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 cover connectivity.
Battery life should be comfortable thanks to a 5000mAh cell and Nothing’s efficiency tweaks. Charging is rated at 33W with a claim of roughly 50% in about 20 minutes, plus 5W reverse wired charging for accessories.
How much does the Nothing Phone 3a Lite cost?
Pricing is £249 or €249 for 8GB and 128GB, and £279 or €279 for 8GB and 256GB, and it’s available right now. To see how the phones compare, and what you lose here, see our Nothing Phone 3a Lite vs Phone 3a.
